Your visit may be the only one they get today
Our volunteers do much more than deliver a hot meal. Along with a friendly face and an encouraging word, they make sure each client is safe at home and feeling well.
For many of our clients, a MOWO volunteer is the only person they will see or talk to that day. You bring the outside world to their door.
Volunteering with MOWO is a family friendly activity. Our volunteers come from all walks of life, and each one brings something unique to the table. We are honored and grateful for your help.
What You Will Do
Volunteer Drivers
Meals on Wheels of Odessa delivers 48 routes Monday through Friday, and we need volunteer drivers to help make those deliveries. Your team will be behind the wheel for your volunteer day.
- Check in at the MOWO office at 10:00 AM, 1314 E 5th St, and pick up your route sheet.
- Find your insulated bags for Hot Meals and Cold Sides. Double check that you have enough for your route.
- Deliver to each client with a friendly face and an encouraging word.
- Make sure they are safe and well, and let our staff know if anything seems off.
- Return your insulated bags to the office when your route is done.
